A Day At The Pumpkin Patch

Here are some pictures (completely out of order by the way!) from the family's trip to pick out our pumpkins this year. We did the baby corn maze... Mom & Dad's first corn maze ever... It was so much better than just going to Wal-Mart to buy a pumpkin!

We spent the day on Saturday the 24th of October at the corn maze and pumpkin patch. The three of us had a great time. We let Jace walk through the maze instead of carrying him. I think he enjoyed it. After we walked around the maze, then we walked through the little market and then picked out our pumpkins. On the way home, we stopped to get the pumpkin carving set and then went to town working on the pumpkins as soon as we got home. Joe did his free-handed. I printed out a "spooky" print of mine, but it was way too tedious and it didn't turn out anything like I expected it to.

A New Way of Doing Things

Well, right now the chicken for our dinner is boiling, so I have some time to type a quick post update with some pictures. I've recently started "Flying" with the "Fly Lady". IF you are wondering about that, check out link to her website in my "Our House" blog. Anyway, part of the focus for October is paper clutter. I have been keeping every paper the daycare has sent home so that I could keep a daily journal of Jace's progress at school. THe problem is that there are soooo many, that I'm getting ovber run with papers. SO I think I'll just start updating on here. One of the things is artwork. The school he is going to is big on art... Anyway, so I'll photograph the artwork and post it, too. - So today when Jace got home, he politely told DaDa that he wanted to go outside to play... When I say politely, I mean in the politest way that a 13 month old could express it... by screaming at the top of his lungs and pointing outside. So Dada and Pod went outside. I had the opportunity to catch some cute moments with the camera. --

Birthday Pictures... Better Late Than Never

So it's been a pretty busy time since the big ONE... Get it?? okay, so I'm corny. Anyway, the three of us were involved in a car wreck on Friday. We're all okay. Joe and I have stiff backs and Pod seems to be doing just fine. Thank goodness for such a great carseat! You know, we just turned his carseat around to face front....

We were stopped at a red light. We were waiting for it to turn green. We were the first car at the intersection. Anyway, out of no where I felt my body be forced forward (we were wearring seatbelts) & a horribly loud crash. I screammed as loud as I could because it scared me to death. The baby started screamming. Joe said, "what the hell?" I looked back at Jace and realized we had been hit. The force of the impact had pushed our car clear through the intersection. It happened in a matter of seconds. There were no warnings like squealing brakes or anything... The driver in the vehicle that hit us told the officer that she wasn't paying attention. Ughhh young drivers...

So now I'm driving a car with a tailgate that won't open or close. We're going to have to take it to the shop to have an estimate done. The entire back area will have to be replaced. The bumper, the tailgate, the rear quarter panels.

Needless to say, I just haven't had a chance with Pod teething and being clingy and then the wreck, the pictures were on delay!

So - here they are:
